Reporting a marketplace listing

For ordinary product reports, signed-in users can use Report this listing on the listing page. That queue helps us investigate quickly, but a marketplace report is not automatically treated as a complete statutory takedown notice.

Copyright takedown notice

A formal notice should be sent to the designated copyright contact above and should include enough information to identify and evaluate the claim, including:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list when appropriate.
2. Identification and location of the material claimed to be infringing, preferably including the Shaka Lights listing URL.
3. Your name and reasonably sufficient contact information.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the complained-of use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Do not knowingly make false infringement claims. Notices and counter-notices may be shared with the affected parties, including the contact details needed to respond.

What happens after a notice

We review notices promptly and disable or remove access to reported material when warranted. We notify the uploader and preserve relevant records. We may request missing information before acting on an incomplete notice.

Counter-notice

If material is removed in response to a formal copyright notice and the uploader believes the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, the uploader may send a counter-notice to the contact above. Include your signature; the material and its former location; your name, address, and telephone number; and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith that removal was a mistake or misidentification. Consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for your address, or, if outside the U.S., a district where the service provider can be found, and agree to accept service from the original complainant or their agent. We forward a complete counter-notice to the complainant. For a qualifying DMCA counter-notice, material is restored after 10–14 business days unless we receive notice of a court action seeking to restrain the disputed activity. Separate violations of our terms may independently prevent restoration.

Repeat infringement

Shaka Lights may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and may restrict publishing privileges while rights complaints are investigated. We consider the circumstances, valid complaints, counter-notices, and relevant outcomes rather than treating every allegation as a proven infringement.
